As the nights draw in and the festive season approaches, it can only mean one thing - I'm A Celebrity is on its way. As we inch closer to the new series, more celebrities are rumoured to be heading to the jungle, including a former X Factor judge, a fresh face from Loose Women, and a football legend turned TV pundit.
Like it or not, Christmas is nearing, and with Strictly already back on our screens, it won't be long before Ant and Dec return Down Under with a new batch of stars trading the red carpet for a jungle bunk. The show first aired on ITV in 2022, with radio DJ Tony Blackburn crowned as the first winner, followed by other champions such as Matt Willis, Kerry Katona, Georgia Toffolo, Scarlett Moffatt, and Vicky Pattison.
Last year, bookies were certain that Sam Thompson, the former Made in Chelsea star, would be the King of the Jungle. After I'm A Celebrity's win in the Best Entertainment category at this year's National Television Awards, speculation is rife about potential campmates for 2024.
From an X Factor star and chart-topping singer to a social media sensation, a Love Island finalist embroiled in a high-profile split, and a Top Gear legend, here are the latest line-up rumours for I'm A Celebrity 2024.
Ally McCoist
The latest name to be added to the I'm A Celeb rumour mill is former Rangers and Scotland striker turned ITV commentator Ally, who is being tipped to join Ant and Dec in the jungle. It's been said that Ally was in discussions with producers two years ago but changed his mind at the eleventh hour, reports Chronicle Live.
A source suggested he might sign on the dotted line this time, saying: "Ally has such a huge fan base thanks to his years of commentating and punditry, plus his long stint on A Question of Sport. He'd be great for the jungle - as his wife and kids have been telling him forever - so everyone is really hopeful that this will be the year."
Tulisa Contostavlos
Tulisa, known for being a member of N-Dubz, saw her fame skyrocket in 2011 when she joined The X Factor panel, guiding Little Mix to victory in her first year, before mentoring Ella Henderson in the following series, months after landing a solo number 1 with summer hit Young.
Tulisa has been largely absent from the limelight in recent years, but is now being tipped to enter the jungle, with an insider stating: "Tulisa's diverse career makes her a strong contender for I'm A Celebrity because she appeals to a wide audience."
The source continued: "Fans from her X Factor days know her well, and the N-Dubz tour has introduced her to a younger generation, especially through platforms like TikTok. ITV is particularly excited about her new following among 16 to 24-year-olds, and hopes the deal is finalised soon."
Jeremy Clarkson
A signing that many telly fans are eager to see, former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson is being tipped for a stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
following the conclusion of The Grand Tour. Lee Astley, spokesperson for betideas.com, commented: "Following the final episode of The Grand Tour, people are wondering where Jeremy Clarkson will appear on our screens next, and a stint in the Jungle on I'm a Celebrity looks a likely destination."
He added, "Clarkson has been on plenty of excursions through deserts and jungles, hence why he's as short as 3/1 to appear in the upcoming series of I'm a Celebrity later this year."
GK Barry
Social media sensation GK Barry, known for her massive following on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, has recently joined the Loose Women panel. At just 25 years old, Grace Keeling, better known as GK, became part of the ITV discussion show earlier this year.
She's also known for her popular podcast Saving Grace and a successful live tour with the same name, not to mention her participation in the chilling Channel 4 reality show Don't Look Down last year.
Tommy Fury
Boxer and Love Island star Tommy Fury, who made headlines with his split from fiancée Molly Mae Hague over the summer, is now rumoured to be heading for I'm A Celebrity. A spokesperson for Ladbroke's bookies supported the speculation, saying: "Reality TV chiefs will surely be queuing up to snap up Molly-Mae or Tommy following their shock split, and the odds suggest the latter could well be jungle-bound later this year."
Phillip Schofield
Following his controversial departure from This Morning and ITV last year, coupled with the admission of an 'unwise but not illegal' affair with a young staff member, there's been much speculation about Phillip's television future. His unexpected return came last week on Channel 5's Castaway, where he was seen surviving alone on a deserted beach.
Despite some thinking this could lead to an appearance on I'm A Celebrity, Phillip has firmly stated he will 'never work with ITV again. '.
Giovanni Pernice
Giovanni, who is missing from the latest Strictly series, has been embroiled in controversy after allegations of bullying by Amanda Abbington, his partner from the previous season. He has strongly denied these claims.
An ITV insider has commented: "As long as those at the top are satisfied that Giovanni isn't a bully and didn't behave inappropriately during Strictly, they will be signing him up. They are very aware of how much Strictly viewers will miss him, he's a true fans' favourite, so they hope he will draw in big audiences."
Giovanni first joined Strictly in 2015, reaching the final several times and winning with Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021.
Alan Halsall
Coronation Street's beloved Alan has previously been associated with I'm A Celebrity, but was reportedly ruled out at the last minute due to an injury. Now, after that hiccup, the actor who plays Tyrone Dobbs is currently at odds of 1/2 to head Down Under, according to Betting Lounge.
He's been a fixture on Corrie for nearly three decades, having first appeared in the late 90s and has been involved in some major plotlines, including his character being abused by ex-fiancée Kirsty.
