Hi, I have a Legrand RH4FBL3PTC switch. Can I use it for a normal dimmable LED? The driver has just Black and withe wires. How should I wire the switch?
Asked by: Matt
Hello Matt,The RH4FBL3PTC dimmer is rated only for use with 0-10v fixtures. I would recommend the RHCL453PW for your two-wire line voltage application.Best Regards,Technical Support

How many LED watts is this switch rated for?I have 20 LED high bay fixtures that are 0/10v Dimmable, each is 171 watts. How do I determine how many switches I need?
Asked by: Erik
Hello Erik,There are two ratings which cannot be exceeded when considering a 0-10V dimmer such as the RH4FBL3PTC. The first rating is the high voltage, high current dimmer rating associated with dimmer black wire and dimmer red wires. In the case of the RH4FBL3PTC, this rating is 10A at 120VAC or 5A at 277VAC. In general, multiply each ballast's power rating by the number of ballasts called for by the application, and this product cannot exceed the dimmer's high voltage, high current rating. The second dimmer rating is the low voltage, low current rating associated with the dimmer violet and dimmer grey wires. In the case of the RH4FBL3PTC, this rating is 100mA of sinking current. The 0-10V ballast should provide this information. If the ballast datasheet does not show this information then the ballast's low voltage current sink value can be measured by connecting an ammeter from ballast violet to ballast grey wires when the ballast is powered. Once the low voltage sink current is measured, multiply this value by the number of ballasts in question. The resulting product cannot be greater than 100mA.Best Regards,Technical Support

If a device is rated for 120 volt can it be use with 277 volt , or the insulation of the components is base in the voltage rating and load, this will create a hazard, unless is listed for the 277 voltage ?
Asked by: lori
Hello, we would not recommend using a device rated for 120v on a 277v service. I'd advise you to check out our dual rated switches that can be used in either 120v or 277v applications. I hope this helps!

Purchased 2 RH4FBL3PTC Separate circuit currently connected red (non3way) to load lights. Lights are standard dimmable led bulbs (26base) What color do I connect for dimming. No ballast. Please respond soon . Thanks
Asked by: Glenn Shelburne
The RH4FBL3PTC is designed for use only with 0-10V dimming ballasts. The low voltage wires from the dimmer would connect to the low voltage wires on the ballast. For standard dimmable LED bulbs you could use the RHCL453PTC or RH703PTUTC dimmers.Radiant products1.844.957-3783Mon - Fri: 8am - 6pm EST(excluding holidays)Email Us - tech.support@legrand.us
